The English sign boards can be found spelt differently. Al Saudah, As Soudah, Sawdah or Al Soodah are all refers the same location.

Asir mountains have a milder climate due to its altitude. It absorbs moisture-laden winds and mist.

The longest and highest ropeway (cable car) in the Kingdom is in Jabal Soodah. With a length of 3,061 meter to the lower station, the cable car descends 1,183 meters. It is run by SYAHYA, The National Company for Tourism.
