A view thru junipers

Juniper forests are the cooling sight of the whole mountain ranges of Asir. Junipers here reach a height of about 20 meters with rich bird life around.

Prickly Pear Cactus

This prickly pear cactus with its ripened red fruit is found in the valley of Jabal Soodah. These are suitable for human consumption and can be found in the fruit markets of Saudi Arabia

Though I heard of Prickly pears having whitish, yellow, orange, or red flowers and greenish-brown, yellow, yellowish-green, red, or purple fruit, the one here bears red fruits.

As Sahab Park

As you ascend Jabal Soodah, you can have fun at As Sahab Park which lies on the top of one of the peaks. The steep ridges are though frightening, soothes you with ceaseless breeze.
