Qassim Province, a fertile land in the central region of Saudi Arabia,
lies in the middle of the country. Buraydah, the capital city of the province,
is around 385 km north of Riyadh.
Qassim borders with Hail Province on the north,
Madinah Province on the west and Riyadh province on the south and east.
Buraydah, Unayzah and Ar Rass are the main cities.
The region is well known for its wealth of ground waters within a few meters of depth.
And so, agriculture is the center point of its economy. Huge production of wheat in the region
takes Saudi Arabia to the position of being an exporter of cereals. In addition to it, varieties of
fruits including grapes, oranges, lemons, pomegrenates, dates and vegitables are grown in large amounts
in the region.
