About 95km northeast of Riyadh, on the way to Rumah, lies one of the largest and densely vegetated natural park in Riyadh, Rawdhat Khureem. The word 'Rawdhat' in Arabic means garden. In the central region with hot summers, Rawdhat will be almost dried with just acacias, zilla spinosa bushes and other thorny shrubs. But in winter, after a rain, this area blooms and flourishes with flowers, bushes, lush growth of grass, birds and butterflies. The area remains green until summer arrives. It is an excellent place for bird watchers during these days.
