Riyadh Province

Riyadh, capital and largest city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a booming and fast growing city with great urban developments in progress. Both a metropolitan and cosmopolitan city, Riyadh is the capital of Riyadh Province and cater great varieties of tourism experience.

Riyadh Province is the second largest province in Saudi Arabia with a population of about 7 million people. It is the major city in the province and has the highest skyscrapers in the kingdom including the Kingdom Tower and Faisaliya Tower. The city of Riyadh excels in its unique architectural designs of which a good number of them won International Design Awards. The recently completed and ongoing constructions boasts of having some of the ambitious architectural designs in the Kingdom. A few of them are: King Fahad National Library, Museum of the Built Environment (MOBE), Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (the largest girls’ university in the world), Muqarnas Tower, King Abdullah Financial District Metro Station and a host of other forthcoming proposed projects.

Riyadh Province is rich in history and archaeology. It has magnificent sand deserts with high sand dunes, pleasing green valleys, good hiking locations, escarpments, forts, castles and numerous rock arts in wadis. These location of interest will be unfolded here.
